Le projet
Every afternoon, from 4:30 to 5:30, around 150 children and teenagers — ages 12 to 18 — gather to receive help with their homework and personalized academic support.
In a country where education, entirely controlled by the State, is now deeply weakened — teachers poorly paid, frequent absenteeism, lack of motivation and supervision, students left on their own with little desire to learn — the tutoring sessions have become an essential resource for families.
They offer young people educational, human, and spiritual guidance that they can no longer find in school.
Open to all, regardless of social or religious background, the tutoring program seeks to be a space of welcome, respect, and growth.
It reflects the Church’s mission: to help each child develop their talents, regain confidence, and discover the hope that comes from Christ.
				L'histoire du projet
This project was born as a response to the challenges of the Cuban educational system and from the Church’s deep desire to support younger generations.
Classes are given by qualified teachers, often volunteers, who work closely with families and the parish’s educational team.
