Through its three daycares — Pastorcillos de Fátima in Placetas, Ángel de la Guarda in Báez, and Divino Niño Jesús in Falcón — the Mission of Placetas seeks to offer the youngest not just a simple childcare service, but a complete, safe, and loving educational environment. Inspired by the words of Saint John Bosco — “To educate is an act of love. Only those who love, educate” — the parish is committed to accompanying children in every dimension of their growth: physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual. Each daycare welcomes about twenty children, supported by educators and volunteers. Families also take part in the project by making a small financial contribution, meeting regularly with the educational team, and helping with basic supplies (soap, paper, cleaning products). It is a true educational alliance between the Church and parents, in a national context where the school system — once a source of pride — is now going through a deep crisis. The opening of the Falcón daycare, in a village where many parents must work outside the home, shows both the urgency and the fruitfulness of this project. Thanks to these three little houses, children find discipline, joy, and friendship, and gradually discover the Christian faith. These daycares are true “nurseries of hope”, where every child is cared for with tenderness and firmness.
